DORE is one of department within MSCIA which is focused on research exchange. The aim of this event is to educate members about research and how to realize its impact to the community. Do Research is a form of SCORE Goes Public (SGP) which is a compulsory research training event supervised by the national committee. Do Research which done on Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 adapt SGP level 1 characteristics where there was only internal training given to the DORE members; whereas, on September 2017, Do Research focused on SGP level 4 which do a research of the community and apply the research to the community.
The event revolves around the ideas of how to create an adequate questionnaire, how to do research, and how to choose a theme for the research and the questionnaire. During the event, Dra. Asmika, SKM., M.Kes explain about questionnaire and research epidemiology while Dr. Dewi Indiastari, Sp.PD portrayed the information surrounding dengue hemorrhagic fever.
Thereafter, the participants were divided into small working groups as to discuss ideas as well as questions about research or about vague materials. The small working groups were led by the experienced older member of MSCIA UB.
This Do Reseach event is categorized as successful as at least 80% of the current member of DORE understand and able to develop a research and questionnaire. The organizing committee sweat and tears when scraping for the fund of this event is now paid off.
