SCORE

SING by CIMSA UNPAD

On Wednesday, 23rd of August 2017, SCORE CIMSA Unpad held an event called SING, which is a shorten for Sharing with Incoming. It is held in Atmosphere Restaurant, Bandung, from 4 PM until 8 PM. This year’s theme is summer since this event was held in the end of summer breaks. Everyone was wearing their best summer outfit and the committee decorated the restaurant in a summer theme. In SING, we get to hear a presentation from the incomings, then we had dinner together as a farewell party. There are two incomings who got to do research exchange in Bandung: Dareen from Egypt and Leonie from Germany. Both of them shared a lot of things regarding their experience when helping a research here, telling stories and fun facts about their own countries, and even shared their impressions about Indonesia, both the good and the bad. They said Indonesia has the most beautiful nature and even jealous that we got to see them every single day. They made us feel grateful and much more aware of how much little things that made Indonesia was just as great as any other country.

We also get to have a little question and answer session where we can ask them about things we wanted to know about them personally, or about their countries, and since all of us are sharing here it also goes the other way around too. This way we could get to know each other a little better than before. We also gave a little present from Indonesia to each of the incomings and even made them try making a balloon from an Indonesian children’s game. Both Dareen and Leonie are a professional, they pretty much had it in the bag at the first try! The rest of the night went by without a hitch. We ate dinner together, taking group photos, and chat a bit more. The decorations, foods, and the music are eventful. Everyone is having a good time and we as a committee definitely can’t wait until we have another incoming come and visit Indonesia again!
