SCORE Goes Public level 1 by CIMSA UNPAD

This year, CIMSA UNPAD’s SCORE Goes Public (SGP) level 1 was held on Friday, November 24th 2017. This event aims to upgrade our SCORE members’ understanding about community research, which would be useful for their thesis making especially for those who chose community as their topic. The discussion material consisted of 2 topics; the first topic was about community research, and the second topic was about thesis proposal writing. Due to the urgency of these topics, we wished that this event could give a better understanding about thesis making and improve our member’s skill to make a research proposal.

This event began with preparations by LCRE and continued by presentations of the discussion. The first topic, which was about community research, was delivered by Fildza Awwalia, a Research and Development Coordinator 2017. The discussion was about research in general, its classifications, goals, and how to do a community research. The next topic, which was about proposal writing, was delivered by Tamia Setia Tartila, one of the outstanding students of FM Unpad who is also a member of SCORE. The second discussion was about data resources and systematic thesis writing. She also shared some of the examples and also tips & trick to write a research proposal. The presentations were done in a fun and interesting way, and we could see that our members listened and enjoyed the presentations well. In a Q&A session, our member actively threw some questions, all of which were answered by the presenters.

The whole event turned out well. We also did a pretest and a posttest, where the post test result was significantly better than the pretest. This was accordance to our expectations, which was also a success indicator of our project.
