Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) Centre for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities (CIMSA) Universitas Indonesia has successfully held it’s first training for their internal SCORE members. The training was called the SCORE GOES PUBLIC 1 and was held on August, 30th 2018. The event itself took place in Villa Media Pura, Pasar Minggu, Jakarta Selatan. The SGP 1 was held on the second day of the CIMSA UI’s local first summit (Local Leadership Summit) where all members of the CIMSA UI came and got a lot of training. SCORE CIMSA UI decided to hold this activity in the SCO session time. The activity consists of two sessions. But before that, the participants had to do some pre-test we already prepared to measure the impact of this activity. The first session was the presentation, proudly brought by our own SCORE member, Gede Bagus Yoga. He explained how to make a good questionnaire for a good assessment. The second part was the workshop itself to use an SPSS software. The SPSS software was used by many to proceed the data of a research. The members were divided into two groups and each one of it had a facilitator to teach the use of the SPSS software.
It was a new experience for some of the members. Last but not least, the post-test itself to measure the impact and if there were any step-up from the pre-test. We were so glad by the result and the members cannot wait do the SCORE GOES PUBLIC 4 where we will collaborate with CIMSA UI Research supporting divisions, Bagas Ariffandi. The need to had a training like this was because lots of the member itself joined SCORE CIMSA UI to get to know more about research. The training about research was actually already given in the summit but there was no workshop and as the member of SCORE we felt like we need to know just a little bit more. After two days filled with training and general assembly, the members were playing together in a pool and some games prepared by the officials of CIMSA Universitas Indonesia. The members are now already given the training they felt they needed to have and now the members are ready to be a facilitator in a community development, developed by CIMSA Universitas Indonesia, about how to be a good researcher. The community development itself planned to be held in October 2018.
