On the first day of December, Standing Committee on Research Exchange (SCORE) from Yarsi University held its prime activity in the 2 nd period, which is the first level of SCORE Goes Public (SGP). This activity intends to introduce SCORE members on the world of research as well as the purposeful data analysis tool, SPSS. It is hoped that through this activity, SCORE members can deepen their understanding of research and strengthening their interpersonal bond. This level of SGP was done on Solo Sandi Harda kiosk, Matraman. SGP lv. 1 was started with the opening speech from the project officer (M. Chairul Syah),
LORE, and LOCO CIMSA Yarsi. From 13.00 onwards, Putri Azzahra Nur Azrina as LOCO explain the materials on ethical behavior in data collection, including available types of research, appropriate methodology, and smooth research how-to.
Then the activity was continued by a lecture on project cycle from Habieb Al-Hasan Assegaf as project coordinator CIMSA Yarsi. He mainly portrays the requirements for preparing an activity, which is surely essential for the members in developing their activity soft-skill. After a coffee and prayer break, the training resumed with a discussion on data analysis by SPSS with Danniah Khairunnisa. She taught the member on the general info about SPSS, its menu, its capabilities, and then further with data validity, input, and analysis.
SCORE members was very attentive and enthusiastic, especially on the SPSS workshop. This impression also reflected on the high increment of scores from the pre and post-test. Interestingly, through this activity, some timid SCORE members able to open up their hearts and develop a strong interpersonal relationship with other members. They also encourage each other for the academic duties, even with seniors.
Above all, the success of this activity is as well due to the hard work of local committee on research exchange (LCRE) and other CIMSA Yarsi officials. Although there has been some revolt since the proposal stage, in the end this activity can be done on time and successful.
