SCOREUNITED was a local activity by Airlangga University on the 28 th of November at 16.30 to 21.30 with beach party theme. The activity is hoped to develop the interpersonal relationship between newbie, members, and the officials while also act as a training ground on research and exchange.
Prior to the activity, all participants are given a coupon with different colors for the group distribution in the later session of games. SCOREUNITED opened by a unique introduction session where people have to gather up in circles and throw a beach ball around. If person A want to know person B, then he/she has to throw the ball to person B and person B has to introduce him/herself to the crowd. Frantic yet exciting, this pattern continues for another 40 minutes where all people have done their share of introduction.
The activity then progresses with the mini-lecture of CIMSA and IFMSA in between a pre and post-test. A significant increment in knowledge could be seen in the result of the tests. Interestingly, to ease the situation, there is a small ice breaking between the lecture on CIMSA and IFMSA using the website “Kahoot!”.
Hereafter, it was continued by a game session involving balloons. Participants are divided into groups according to their voucher’s color and have to sit back in back with a balloon in between. The set of people with the balloon have to move in a certain way to pop the balloon. However, the catch is that once the balloon breaks, there will be a photo of another participants and they have to guess who it is. If they fail to do so, then they are removed and cannot progress to the further round.
Next, a group choir was conducted where all participants sing together a song of their choice as an opening act of the later session, flash-mob. In the chilling darkness of the evening, whilst using some light sticks as the only light source, each group of participants are required to concoct a flash-mob where it’ll be judged by the officials. Loud laughter and high-pitched cheers fill the room from the audience watching.
Since the dark seems to have enveloped the sky, SCOREUNITED was ended with a final session of a drink guessing game and a commemoration session of the games’ winners. As usual, before returning to each other home, the participants gather to take a memorial photo and Instagram boomerang video.
