Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia which are strategically located in the Malacca Strait area which is an international shipping lane and is supported by natural wealth, regional cultural charm, unique history, and the legacy of the Tsunami “Tsunami Heritage”. Banda Aceh, the capital city of Aceh, Is located at the northern tip of Sumatra Island. This city holds 5.33 Million inhabitants by 2020. This Coastal city is also the oldest Islamic city in Southeast Asia and Aceh is one of the World’s Best Halal Cultural Destinations. Aceh has many natural attractions that can be visited – such as beaches, waterfalls, and gardens which are accessible and not far from Banda Aceh. To know the bitter-sweet history of Aceh, you can discover plenty of landmarks, museums, or other constructs which serve as a silent witnesses of flight. Besides, Aceh has many traditional foods and Baverages such as Gulee Sie Kameng, Ayam Tangkap, Aceh noodles, Kopi Gayo, etc. 

Medical Faculty of Syiah Kuala University (FM USK)  was established in 1982 and currently has 16 study programs.  Syiah Kuala University is located in Darussalam, Banda Aceh, 8 km to the east of Banda Aceh. The Medical Faculty is associated with dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional Hospital is the teaching hospital, 5.9 km from Syiah Kuala University. FM USK has the vision to organize higher education in the fields of medicine, health, and disaster of superior quality and competency-based to produce graduates who have superior, competitive, and innovative values and are highly competitive at national and global levels. After 3,5 year, the students will undergo clinical clerkship at RSUDZA (dr. Zainoel Abidin Regional Hospital) in the capital city, Banda Aceh.
