As a higher educational institution that was founded in 1981, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta also called “UMY” is in the process of fulfilling its mission of “Unggul & Islami” (Excellent & Islamic) in the growth of science, technology, and the arts, along with the pursuit of greater good through Islamic values. Along with the high demand for health workers at that time, Muhammadiyah Organization established the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta in March 1993 to mobilize health service institutions spread throughout the archipelago. UMY is located in the south of Yogyakarta namely Gamping, Bantul. UMY has several study hospitals, and the main study hospital is PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping and which is famous for its hospitality and facility.
